Machine Learning Landscape 2.0

A year ago, Shivon Zilis, a partner and founding member of the VC firm, Bloomberg Beta, created the first Machine Learning Landscape. As she stated, “so much has happened since.” The machine learning and machine intelligence world continues to evolve and mature in near real-time. It’s exciting and it’s a development that will change the world. In our biased view at LiftIgniter, machine learning and machine intelligence will herald in one of the next major shifts in our world. We’re excited.

Shivon does her research and looks at the machine learning space in depth. In her Machine Intelligence 2.0 landscape, “given the explosion of activity, my focus is on highlighting areas of innovation.”

LiftIgniter is flattered and proud to be prominently featured at the top of the marketing group!

As Shivon notes, “the biggest changes I’ve noted since I did this analysis last year are (1) the emergence of autonomous systems in both the physical and virtual world and (2) startups shifting away from building broad technology platforms to focusing on solving specific business problems.” At LiftIgniter, we like to think we fit well into both changes. Unlike any other marketing personalization vendor, we’re fully autonomous. You don’t need direct human interaction for us to work. Most other marketing tools require a team of marketing specialists to hand tune and update the work that the platform can do for you. At LiftIgniter, it’s plug & play. You turn us on and the machine automatically optimizes the experience for each user – regardless of their segment, cohort, etc. Only  machines can truly personalize in real-time. Second, LiftIgniter is not a platform for all things machine learning or machine intelligence.

We’re focused on one thing: personalizing the entire user experience on any app or website.

As we reflect on 2015 and this new machine learning landscape, we’re heartened by the fact that more and more enterprises are recognizing that machine learning is not some vague term from the future. Rather, it’s here and now. Machine learning intelligence is something you can use now to dramatically improve your revenues. The ROI is high. It takes little work to integrate. Solving your business problem is not only possible with machine learning but it’s also provably  valuable.

We can’t wait for 2016!!
